Holidays in Montauk with zippy Seven

Reunited and it feels so good…
We have the best memories of Zippy Seven, and the holidays have us feeling extra sentimental.
From our cherished times together in distant, far off beaches and to rolling mountain towns, Zippy has traveled the world with our Billabong team to some pretty remarkable places.
So we took a quick trip down memory lane in our Q&A with this New Zealand beauty and had her share her favorite Montauk memories…because traveling the world is great, but sometimes home is just as grand.

Montauk during the holidays…or where will you be spending the holidays? Montauk for the holidays it’s such a magical time of year out here.

Five of your favorite local spots in Montauk…Ditch Plains Beach. Montauket for sunset. Johns Drive in for ice cream. Jumping off
the wharf at Navy Beach. Sailing the little hobbiecat boats in the lake.

Any grand Holiday traditions? Beach bbqs and board games.

How is it working with your boyfriend as a photographer? We both know what we want and what’s going to work. So we can have fun together
exploring and making memories.

How about living together in Montauk? It’s the most fun ever.

Tell us a little bit about your life on the seas and sailing….I grew up sailing with my family in New Zealand, there are so many islands to explore
there. Once I moved to New York we got our own sailboat in Montauk and sail out there with friends and stay on our boat in the summer.

What were some of your fondest memories working with Billabong Womens in the past? We always had so much fun shooting in the sunshine with such a cool easy crew of people. Billabong trips never felt like work. Everyone would jump in the water throughout the day and lunch breaks always lazing on the beach while we waited for the sun to drop.

What’s your morning routine look like? I make a coffee and walk my puppy down to the beach in the mornings. Love to jump in the water before having a hot shower at home and washing my face brushing my
hair and applying my sunscreen.

When are you most in ‘your element’? On the water. In nature, in the sun.

Tell us about some of your favorite Holiday Billabong looks. Yellow bikini! My favorite color and favorite thing to wear.
